Riemann-roch for Equivariant Chow Groups
Here ĜG(X) is the completion of the equivariant Grothendieck group of coherent sheaves along the augmentation ideal of the representation ring R(G), and the groups CH iG(X) are the equivariant Chow groups defined in [EG2]. The map τ G has the same functorial properties as the nonequivariant Riemann-Roch map of [BFM] and [F, Theorem 18.3]. IfG acts freely, then τ can be identified with the noneq...

1 K and K0 of schemes Let X be a quasi-projective variety. We define K(X) as follows. Let Fvb(X) be the free abelian group on all isomorphism classes of vector bundles (of finite rank) over X and consider the equivalence relation Rvb(X) generated by the following. If 0 → E1 → E2 → E3 → 0 is an exact sequence of vector bundles, then [E2] = [E1] + [E3]. The quotient Fvb(X)/Rvb(X) is called K(X). ...
متن کاملRiemann-roch for Equivariant K-theory
The goal of this paper is to prove the equivariant version of Bloch’s Riemann-Roch isomorphism between the higher algebraic K-theory and the higher Chow groups of smooth varieties. We show that for a linear algebraic group G acting on a smooth variety X , although there is no Chern character map from the equivariant K-groups to equivariant higher Chow groups, there is indeed such a map K i (X)⊗...
متن کاملDecomposing Representations of Finite Groups on Riemann-roch Spaces
If G is a finite subgroup of the automorphism group of a projective curve X and D is a divisor on X stabilized by G, then we compute a simplified formula for the trace of the natural representation of G on the Riemann-Roch space L(D), under the assumption that L(D) is “rational”, D is nonspecial, and the characteristic is “good”. We discuss the partial formulas that result if L(D) is not rational.
متن کاملBivariant Riemann Roch Theorems
The goal of this paper is to explain the analogy between certain results in algebraic geometry, namely the Riemann-Roch theorems due to Baum,Fulton, and MacPherson ([BFM2],and [FMac]); and recent results in geometric topology due to Dwyer, Weiss and myself [DWW]. One reason for doing this is that the bivariant viewpoint introduced by Fulton-MacPherson in their memoir [FMac], becomes particularl...
